Colorectal cancer often goes unseen by the immune system, making it difficult to treat with immunotherapy. However, when such treatments do work, we know that immune cells form organized clusters called “immune niches.” These act as tactical command centers, coordinating a unified strike against the tumor. In this talk, postdoctoral scholar Anna Ralser, PhD, explores a strategy to artificially trigger these niches, forcing the immune system to organize and launch an effective attack against hard-to-treat cancers.
