Industry Research Seminar
Lauren Celano
Learn how to prepare for and conduct an effective industry job search. This session begins with a focus on questions that you, as a job seeker, should ask yourself to ensure a focused search on roles and organizations aligned to your values, interests, and skills.
You’ll learn how to find and research organizations and how to identify job titles relevant to your career interests. You’ll also gain the tools you need to create a job search checklist and discover the value of formally tracking your progress over time to maintain focus and accelerate your job hunt.
The presentation will also cover the “hidden job market” and how organizations and recruitment firms use resume databases and LinkedIn to connect with talent.
Finally, you’ll learn more about job search timeframes, such as when to start looking for a position and how long you’ll have to make a decision.
