Postdoc, Srivastava Lab

Heart failure is a condition in which the heart muscle is unable to pump enough blood to supply the rest of the body with oxygen. In this seminar, Michael Alexanian will describe his work investigating the mechanisms that cause heart muscle cells to fail, and how that might lead to new therapeutic options.

Michael Alexanian completed his PhD at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. As a postdoctoral scholar in the Srivastava Lab, he is studying cardiovascular disease with the goal of discovering new therapeutic approaches to treat heart failure.
