Session 6: Translating Your Skills and Interests

This session of Designing Your Life in the United States offers you an opportunity to clarify the purpose of the work and volunteering you hope to do and how your skills might translate to job or volunteer opportunities. What skills and interests do you have and how might you offer them in the San Francisco Bay Area? Ranging beyond culture, you’ll explore different personality types, personal values, interests, and skills. As a result of this work, you’ll be better equipped to identify your transferable skills and strategize the best ways to use them. This is a very practical, hands-on session which results in greater self-awareness and a clearer direction for each participant.
