Jan E. Carette, PhD
Jan E. Carette is an associate professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University. He received his doctorate from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and completed his postdoctoral training at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His laboratory uses genetic approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of virus–host interactions, ranging from pathogenic viruses to viruses used in gene therapy.
