Nuts and Bolts of Manuscript Writing
Thursday, May 2, 2024

Francoise Chanut

Senior Scientific Editor

Are you writing or preparing to write a manuscript? Would you like help organizing your ideas, some writing tips, and some moral support?

If so, this course is for you!

This course combines short lectures on writing principles, in-class writing and editing exercises, weekly writing assignments, and regular feedback.

The class will meet for two hours, every week over five weeks; attendance at all five classes is not required but strongly encouraged.

You will benefit most from the course if you are writing a manuscript. You don’t need to have a complete draft, but you should at least have assembled most of your figures and know the main points your paper will make. If you are not writing yet, you may still attend the course and use a poster or a slide presentation as your starting material.

The course is open to all Gladstone. Contact Françoise Chanut if you have any questions before registering.
