Study Suggests Children Are Breathing CO2 When Wearing Masks, Experts Say Levels Are Not Dangerous
ABC7 News—A new study shows that wearing a mask increases slightly the amount of carbon dioxide children breathe. Gladstone President Deepak Srivastava, MD, cautions that the study was small, the increase in carbon dioxide is not known to be dangerous, and that wearing a mask and getting vaccinated remain the best protections against COVID-19.
