New Paper Points the Way to Make CRISPR Safer by Avoiding Chromosome Loss
Innovative Genomics Institute—Gladstone Senior Investigator Jennifer Doudna and Affiliate Investigator Jimmie Ye, along with collaborators at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunology and Stanford, have discovered a way to increase the safety of CRISPR editing by preventing chromosome loss, a toxic side-effect of the technology in some cells.
