Aarti Krishnan, PhD
Aarti Krishnan is a postdoctoral researcher at MIT whose work lies at the interface of artificial intelligence and microbiology. To address the growing threat of multidrug-resistant bacteria, her recent research harnesses deep learning and generative AI to design structurally novel antibiotics by exploring previously inaccessible regions of chemical space. Her interdisciplinary research also extends to parasitology, where she uses systems biology to study the metabolic pathways of eukaryotic pathogens to uncover and target new therapeutic vulnerabilities.
