Nadia Roan’s laboratory studies the properties of immune cells in tissues, including how interactions between immune cells and HIV can affect viral transmission, persistence, and pathogenesis. The laboratory applies a variety of single-cell high-dimensional analytical approaches in ex vivo models and on patient samples to understand the role of the tissue microenvironment in health and disease.
