In celebration of International Transgender Day of Visibility, Madeline Deutsch, MD, MPH, director of the UC San Francisco (UCSF) Gender Affirming Health Program, gave a special presentation at Gladstone Institutes.
In this talk, Deutsch describes the arc of her career in gender affirming healthcare, as well as the development, launch, and growth of the UCSF Gender Affirming Health Program. Deutsch also touches on critical health system considerations facing the trans community.
This event was hosted on March 29, 2024. The Transgender Day of Visibility seminar aims to raise awareness of systemic issues that impact trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals, as well as those with intersecting identities.
