Kathy Ivey, PhD, Tenaya Therapeutics

Prior to the launch of Tenaya, Kathy Ivey was the director of the Gladstone Stem Cell Core, and the scientific program manager for the collaborative science initiative BioFulcrum.

Tenaya Therapeutics was founded in 2016 by Gladstone scientists. After an 8-month incubation at Gladstone, Tenaya moved into new space in South San Francisco and now has appoximately 30 employees. Leveraging cutting-edge research in cardiac development and regeneration from Gladstone’s BioFulcrum program, the company aims to address heart failure through multipronged efforts, with a focus on in vivo reprogramming of cardiac fibroblasts to regenerate heart tissue, and drug discovery for cardiomyopathies. To mark the 2-year anniversary, Ivey will present an overview of Tenaya’s endeavors towards these goals.

Trainees are invited to meet with Kathy Ivey. Please contact Bethany Taylor to schedule.

This event is open to all Gladstone scientists. Lunch will be provided to those who register.
