This workshop provides a foundation for anyone who is at the beginning of their DEI journey. It will focus on the power of precise language, how unconscious bias impacts the workplace, and provide a space to reflect, learn, and solidify concepts before operationalizing all these pieces.

You will walk away being able to:

  • Define diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Understand the importance of aligned language
  • Identify precise language
  • Define and identify ways to mitigate unconscious bias

Mercedes Jenkins is the global DEI strategist for Google People Services. She has successfully helped many organizations with their diversity and inclusion efforts.
