Lana Zholudeva, PhD

Postdoc, McDevitt Lab

Lana Zholudeva completed her PhD in neuroscience at Drexel University, where she studied spinal interneurons, the neurons that physically reside and communicate in the spinal cord. Of particular interest, she studied how these cells change after injury to the central nervous system, and ways that scientists may harness this plasticity for functional improvement. As a postdoc in the McDevitt Lab, she is using bioengineering approaches to generate spinal interneurons as a cell-based therapy to treat spinal cord injury.
