Join Gladstone for the American Heart Association (AHA) San Francisco Heart Walk! The goal is to raise $2,500 across 10 Gladstone teams. The AHA provides a number of grants for Gladstone scientists, so the funds raised during the event will help support our life-saving research, advance health equity, and transform the health of communities.

Join the Gladstone Team

  1. Visit the Gladstone team page on the AHA website
  2. Select “Join a Team”
  3. Choose “Gladstone Institutes” from the drop-down menu to find your team
  4. Fill out your profile details and your personal fundraising goal
  5. Click “Complete Registration” to join the Gladstone Team!

Walk to SFMTA Bus Stop 15 (Near Chase Center)

You’ll need to buy your own ticket ($3.00), but you can contact Nicole Velasquez for reimbursement.

12:00pm Heart Walk Booths and Activities Open
12:10pm Zumba with Miysha
12:25pm Opening Ceremonies

  • Walk to SFMTA bus station, 3rd Street & Warriors Way (by Chase Center)—7 minute walk
  • Take Bus 15 to Sutter & Sansome Street (2 stops)—11 minute ride
  • Walk from the Sutter & Sansome Street stop to 1 Ferry Building—12 minute walk

The 2023 San Francisco Heart Walk from the American Heart Association raises awareness and funds for cardiac research. Each year, Gladstonians participate in the walk, showing support with fellow volunteers while fundraising for the AHA.
