Season of Giving
November 28-December 20, 2022

Support the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program

Every child should have a special gift this year, so Gladstone is partnering with the San Francisco Firefighters with a goal to collect over 100 toys this holiday season through a combination of our onsite donation barrels and online drive.

Donation barrels will be in the Gladstone lobby beginning November 28 through December 20, 2022.

With donation barrels back onsite, the annual toy drive is going hybrid this year. You have the opportunity to bring a new, unwrapped toy to Gladstone and drop it off in one of the donation barrels, or make an online purchase from the program's list of recommended toys on the Gladstone donation page.

Toy Guidelines

Donated toys should be new, unwrapped, and appropriate for infants through age 12. The biggest gift needs are for girls, ages 8–12. Sports equipment, balls, arts and crafts supplies, and games are gift ideas to consider.

About the SF Firefighters Toy Program

The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program is the city’s largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to over 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children year-round. Besides helping individual families in need, the Toy Program serves many community organizations, including shelters for abused women and children, inner-city schools, neighborhood groups, children’s cancer wards, and pediatric AIDS units. They also respond throughout the year to displaced children who become victims of fires, floods, and other such disasters.
