Jenny Umhoefer

Graduate Student, Marson Lab

Jenny Umhoefer is a biomedical sciences graduate student in Alex Marson’s group. There, she is using CRISPR gene-editing tools to study genetic control of regulatory T cells (Tregs), which suppress the activity and activation of other immune cells to maintain immune balance. Jenny is interested in identifying novel DNA regions and proteins that can be manipulated to tune Treg behavior in therapeutic settings.
