Irfan Kathiriya, MD, PhD

Visiting Scientist, Gladstone Institutes

Irfan Kathiriya is a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist who received his MD/PhD from the University of Texas, Southwestern, in Deepak Srivastava’s lab. As an associate professor at UC San Francisco and a visiting scientist in the Bruneau Lab, he is investigating the genes required for heart development, and how their dysfunction causes congenital heart disease.
