GICD/CVRI Seminar
Ralf H. Adams, PhD
Ralf Adams trained in neurobiology and developmental biology at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2000, he started his independent career the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute, which is now part of the CRICK Institute. After obtaining tenure, he returned to Germany in 2008 and took up his current position. Research in the Adams Lab focuses on the growth and organ-specific specialization of the vertebrate vascular system. This work has also led to new insights into the role of blood vessels in bone development, homeostasis, regeneration, and aging.
