Exports from data visualization software like Python, Prism, and Cytoscape can be tricky—the software puts your data in a visual format, but it often needs some additional development to make it more understandable.

In session 1 of Design Lab, learn best practices for optimizing your data visualizations, so they’re as clear as possible. See a live demo of how to import files into Adobe Illustrator and make adjustments to your lines, colors, fonts, legends, and more. Get insight into some Illustrator tools and learn tips that can help you determine what type of data visualization will work best.

And, bring your real-life examples to get some support. In the second half of the session, you’ll have the chance to ask questions about data visualizations or other pain points you’re experiencing with any design project or software.

Who Can Attend?

Design Lab is geared toward investigators and trainees who have any level of design experience. Some familiarity with design or illustration software is ideal, but the principles covered are universal and can be implemented with any software.
