AHA Heart Walk
Friday, September 25, 2020

The American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk is bigger than ever this year thanks to the new virtual format.

The need for awareness and groundbreaking science grows, too, as cardiac disease remains the #1 killer of all Americans and disproportionately affects Black Americans. In addition, the spread of COVID-19 reveals an uptick in cardiovascular disease as well as a greater chance of death for virus patients with cardiovascular disease.

You can join Team Gladstone to participate in this year’s Heart Walk and help meet our fundraising goal of $2000 for cardiac research.

Joining the Gladstone Heart Walk Team—the Cardiac Crusaders—also offers a chance to show appreciation for the many other volunteers raising money for an organization that acts as a partner in cardiac research. The AHA provides a number of grants for predoctoral, postdoctoral, and young investigators.

Other Ways to Support:

The 2020 Bay Area Digital Heart Walk Experience from the American Heart Association raises awareness and funds for cardiac research. Each year, Gladstonians participate in the walk showing support to fellow volunteers while fundraising for the AHA.
