“How to Give an Effective Scientific Talk”

Robert Mahley, MD, PhD, will share his insights into best practices for effective scientific presentations, including how to consider elements of a successful lecture, how to build a story, and how visuals can make or break a talk.
  • “50% of scientific success is based on the excellence of your science; 50% is based on your ability to communicate your results.”
  • The Secret: “Tell them what you are going to tell them; Tell them; Tell them what you told them.”
  • “Sloppy, poorly constructed slides suggest sloppy, poorly conducted science.”

This event is open to the Gladstone scientific community.
