Infectious Diseases and Human Health Seminar
This interdisciplinary symposium brings together leading experts in climate medicine, virology, and biogeochemistry to explore how a changing climate is reshaping human health and infectious disease risk. Topics include the expansion of mosquito habitats and the shifting landscape of vector-borne diseases, the emergence of ancient and novel pathogens from changing environments, and the growing burden of heat-and air pollution-induced disease in vulnerable populations. By connecting environmental change to biological and clinical outcomes, the symposium aims to foster dialogue, highlight emerging research, and identify pathways for prevention and resilience in a warming world.
