Natalya Mendizabal

Yoga and Fitness Instructor, UCSF

This virtual yoga class is designed for students of all levels and incorporates stretching, flow poses, and breath awareness to promote stability and release tension. The class will be taught by Natalya Mendizabal, fitness instructor and yoga teacher at UCSF Fitness and Recreation.

Suggested equipment:

  • Yoga mat or rug
  • Small blanket or bath towel for cushioning
  • Yoga strap or any belt or scarf for stretching
  • Yoga block or thick book for support

About the Instructor

Natalya Mendizabal has been teaching yoga, Pilates, and other health-oriented classes since 2005. She loves experimenting with poses and sequences that lead to greater flexibility, stability, strength, freedom of breath, and overall body awareness. Her use of clear direction and compassionate variations allow students of all levels to feel comfortable yet challenged. Mendizabals’ style is inspired by Iyengar, Hatha, and other yoga teachers. Her classes are fun, friendly, and approachable to everyone.
