Danielle Swaney, PhD

Visiting Scientist, Krogan Lab

Mass spectrometry is a technique that allows scientists to identify the individual components of a mixture of molecules. In this seminar, Danielle Swaney, director of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Proteomics Facility for Disease Target Discovery at Gladstone, will describe how she is using mass spectrometry to identify new therapeutic targets in various diseases.

Danielle Swaney completed her PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. As a scientist in the Krogan Lab and the director of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Proteomics Facility for Disease Target Discovery, she is using a technique called affinity purification mass spectrometry to investigate protein-protein interactions to elucidate disease mechanisms and discover therapeutic targets.
