About the PUMAS Program

The Promoting Underrepresented Minority Advancement in the Sciences (PUMAS) internship program aims to provide lab experience to historically underrepresented community college students before they transfer to a 4-year institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). It’s organized by the Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Education and Research Development Affairs team at Gladstone and funded by the NIH National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
