Gladstone scientists speak at community events

As part of our mandate to help science overcome disease, Gladstone is dedicated to training tomorrow’s scientists. We send our researchers to local schools to discuss topics such as HIV/AIDS, brain disorders and the future of stem cell research. We also offer scholarships and internships to local high school students—including our next-door neighbors in the Hunter’s Point and Bayview communities—to train and inspire groups who are otherwise underrepresented in the sciences.

For the broader community, Gladstone offers public lectures on the latest advances and trends in cardiovascular, viral, neurological and stem cell research. We also work closely with advocacy groups such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Heart Association.

For those focused on cardiovascular care, the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and the National Lipid Association jointly sponsor the Gladstone Lipid Clinic—which sees patients and teaches lipid-disorder management courses to healthcare professionals.
