Bárbara González Terán, PhD
Bárbara González Terán completed her PhD at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares in Madrid, Spain, where she studied the role of the p38 MAPK stress signaling pathway in inflammation and cardiovascular diseases. In September 2016 Terán joined Gladstone for her postdoctoral training in the Srivastava laboratory, where she is working now on understanding the molecular processes underlying the transformation of stem cells into heart cells, and how these molecular processes are altered by mutations known to cause congenital heart disease in humans. Terán’s postdoctoral work is funded by a fellowship from the American Heart Association.
