Conference Room A/B

Emily Jones
Graduate Student
Laboratory of Yadong Huang

Jones has a BS in physiology and neurobiology and a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland. Jones’s research interests are in neuroinformatics, specifically at the genetic, molecular, and cellular level of developmental and degenerative neural disorders. In the Huang laboratory, Emily studies a signal transduction pathway that may be involved in autism.

During her undergraduate research, she studied the effects of fetal nicotine exposure on inhibition of impulsive action in rats and activity in the prefrontal cortex. In a bioinformatics laboratory, she also studied selection of the intrinsic disorder characteristic of proteins and regulation by intronic enhancers.
