Assay Development and Drug Discovery Core

Anke Meyer-Franke received her PhD in neuroscience from Heidelberg University and completed her postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Ben Barres at Stanford University. After years of extensive experience in biotech and pharma drug discovery, she joined the Gladstone Institutes in 2012 as director of the Assay Development and Drug Discovery Core. She has developed biochemical and complex whole cell phenotypic assays critical for a variety of therapeutic discovery programs, including Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis, and the core supports multiple laboratories in their target and drug discovery efforts.

For nearly 25 years, Science for Admin has given Gladstone administrators the opportunity to learn firsthand about the science they enable. View all upcoming Science for Admin Events
