Victoria Rafalski is a postdoctoral scholar in the Akassoglou Lab. She earned her PhD in Neurosciences from Stanford University and is a recipient of the prestigious American Heart Association postdoctoral fellowship. She is interested in elucidating the biology of neurological disease in order to better inform therapeutic development. In the lab, they are determining the role of vascular dysfunction in neuronal damage and inflammation in the brain. Results from this research could be applicable in disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimers disease.
