Are you concerned about your job prospects? Have you spent time exploring what careers are available beyond academia, and how you can find the right one for you? 

This hands-on workshop will help you to start exploring various career options. You will walk away with an understanding of how to dissect almost every kind of job out, helping you identify positions that align with your interests, personality, and skill sets. You will also learn how to build your network.

Whether you’re invested in becoming a PI, or if you can’t wait to leave the bench, this interactive workshop will challenge you to expand your horizons and knowledge about the modern workplace.

About the Speaker
Vay Cao founded Free the PhD after she transitioned out of academia. She aims to help those who are eager to make a difference in the world with their research knowledge but are struggling with their career transitions. She received her PhD in neuroscience from the National Institutes of Health Graduate Partnerships Program with Brown University.
