“Understanding and Restoring Mitochondrial Functions in Neurodegeneration”
Ken Nakamura, MD, PhD—Assistant Investigator, Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease
Wednesday, May 9, 2018 - 11:00am to 12:00pm
Mahley Auditorium

Nakamura’s research focuses on the normal functioning of mitochondria—the “power centers” of cells—which convert nutrients into energy. He also studies how disrupting mitochondria contributes to the development of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.

Gladstone Science Talks allow investigators to share the latest research from their laboratories. These talks are open to the broader Gladstone community. View all upcoming Gladstone Science Talks
