Gladstone Science Talks

Gladstone Institutes Science Talks Series
“Statistical Approaches at the Interface of Structural Biology and Gene Regulation”
Katherine Pollard, PhD, will present.
Wednesday, December 13, 2017 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Mahley Auditorium

Katherine Pollard’s laboratory develops statistical and computational methods for the analysis of massive genomic datasets. The research focuses on genome evolution, in particular identifying DNA sequences that differ significantly between or within species, and the sequences’ relationship to biomedical traits. Many of these sequences are non-coding, such as regulatory signals, structural sites and RNA genes. The Pollard group aims to pinpoint specific DNA alterations in these sequences that are responsible for changes in gene expression.

Gladstone Science Talks allow investigators to share the latest research from their laboratories. These talks are open to the broader Gladstone community. View all upcoming Gladstone Science Talks
